Linking GoldSim to Spreadsheets (October 2018)

There are many ways for GoldSim to interact with a spreadsheet. In this webinar, we will explore the various ways and I will demonstrate many of them. The main concepts we will cover include:

• Import time series data
• Import lookup table data
• Import and export using the Spreadsheet element
• Export time history data

In additions to these basic features, I will demonstrate the ability to link to a spreadsheet that updates its calculations on each time step of the GoldSim model, including calculations done in a VBA macro. This is especially useful for models that rely on legacy tools built in MS Excel.
