The purpose of this model is to demonstrate the use of GoldSim's flexible dashboard controls as a way to present the dynamic nature of many components of a rapidly changing and complex system. This model simulates the process of a water treatment plant feeding water into a system of conveyance and regulation components that ultimately provide water to a rapidly changing and uncertain water demand. One of the most important components of this system is a large pumping station that houses 4 constant speed pumps operating in parallel to maintain a target water level in a regulation tank down stream. During the simulation, GoldSim reports pressures and flows at various points.
It is recommended that you run the model in slow motion to visualize the dynamic response of the dashboard to the model variables as the simulation progresses.
