This static model calculates the normal depth of flow in a prismatic (trapezoidal) channel given the parameters of flow rate, bottom width, side slope, roughness coefficient, and logitudinal channel slope. A channel lining material is recommended based on calculsted shear stress at the point of contact between the water and the channel bed. Channel roughness is affected by the relative height of the roughness compared to the flow depth.
