    Yes, that is correct.  The Precipitate Removal Mass Flux Link removes that mass that has been precipitated.  Just set the rate to a high number so precipitate is immediately flushed out.

    Thanks Rick for the response. A further question: what happens if Precipitate Removal Mass Flux Link is not included in the model? In Example 3, it appears that removing the Precipitate Removal Mass Flux Link did not change the model's results.

    If you remove that link, none of the mass will be removed.  It will be precipitated out solution and will still be present (as a precipitate) in that cell.
