This model illustrates the use of a Monte Carlo Submodel element to calculate statistics for the submodel's performance. A final value distribution from the SubModel is used to compute statistics (a mean and a 95% quantile), and fed into a calculation (represented by element 'Result').
On the output interface of the submodel, define it as a distribution output.
When you do this, certain statistical functions can use the distribution output from the submodel.
These statistical functions and many others can be found here.
To Open the Model File:
- Start GoldSim
- Click on the File and select Open Example...
- Browse to General Examples --> Submodels
- Select the file called MonteCarloStatistics.gsm
