Drive Flows using Requests

This model demonstrates how to simulate the process of coordinating 2 ponds to maintain a target volume in one of the ponds to provide a reliable water supply. This model is set up with initially problematic logic that creates rapid oscillations. This setup also creates influence lines that doesn't show the flow of water, making it difficult to understand the model.

In this example model, I keep actual flows separate from requests that drive the flows, which can significantly improve the visualization of the system you are trying to model, especially when you have many flows being passed between components of your system.
