Dam Break Flood Hydrograph

This model uses an empirical formula (parametric model) to produce a hydrograph outflow that might occur from a breach in a dam. The method is the same as that used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HEC-RAS program. The resulting breach flow hydrograph is linked to a reservoir element, which tracks the amount of water in the reservoir behind the dam. As the volume decreases, the water level also decreases, which affects the discharge rate.
