Initial_Flow_Rate in Muskingum Cunge Routing Model

Hi there! I'am trying to implement Muskingum Cunge Model you have provided and I have watched the webinar. I want to understand what initial flow rate represents which is used inside the M. Cunge calculations. (in the example model it is 5m/s, but where did it came from?)

  Thanks for writing in the GoldSim forum. So I can better answer your question, please can you point me to the model you are working with? I looked at our M Cunge example and didn't find the 5m3/s initial flow you are referring to: River Routing: Muskingum-Cunge Model – GoldSim Help Center

  It is "Muskingum-Cunge River Routing2" under the River Routing Functions zip file provided.

  Thanks for the clarification. It appears this was just an assumed initial state for time zero of the simulation.
