For many engineered systems, it is necessary to predict measures such as reliability and availability. Reliability is the probability that a component or system will perform its required function over a specified time period. Availability is the probability that a component or system is performing its required function at any given time. In this webinar, a GoldSim model is used to simulate reliability and availability of a pump station using the Reliability Module. We consider the reliability of the entire system of components, each having their own failure and repair mechanisms.
