Snow Accumulation and Melt Estimator

This model estimates monthly snow accumulation and melt based on observed precipitation time series data and lookup tables that distribute snowfall and snow melt using a simple mass balance approach. A storage element (Pool called "Snowpack") is used to accumulate the snow before it is melted off using the distribution table. Adjust the distribution tables to calibrate to observed snowpack data. The result is "Excess_Water" which represents the water that is to be routed through a watershed to become runoff downstream. The watershed runoff model is not included.
