Simple Pond Evaporation

The purpose of this model is to simulate the evaporation losses from a reservoir based on a changing unit loss rate over time. The unit loss rate is based on the monthly averages of observed evaporation data. This monthly rate is then applied to the water surface area of the reservoir. In this example, it is assumed that there is still some water surface area even when the depth in the reservoir is zero.

To Open the Model File:

1. Start GoldSim
2. Click on the File and select Open Example...
3. Browse to General Examples --> Player Examples
4. Select the file called SimplePond.gsm
