Stage-storage and stage-area curves are geometric relationships between water depth, water surface area and storage volume in a pond or reservoir. Geometric formulas and lookup tables may be used to calculate the pond water surface area and volume as a function of water depth. The following example demonstrates two methods for translating these relationships using a GoldSim model:
