Preview Update (KB5067036) (26200.7019)
We have confirmed that after installing this update, the text editing issue in GoldSim is resolved. The temporary workaround is no longer necessary.
Original Issue Description
A display issue surfaced that affected text editing in GoldSim, primarily within Element Description input fields and some other multi-line text input controls (like Chart headers), following the recent Windows 11 update KB5066835 (on Windows 11, version 24H2).
Symptoms of the Original Issue:
Users experienced rendering problems when actively editing text. When using the Backspace key, deleting, or typing over existing text, the field would get "garbled" and show visual artifacts or overlaid text. This made the field temporarily unreadable.
This problem was confirmed to be caused by KB5066835 and is now confirmed to be fixed by KB5067036.
