Alternative switching between two ponds

Hi All, 

I have two ponds (Pond A and Pond B, each with a capacity of 10 L). These ponds are set up to run alternately depending on a defined volume (2 L). For example, I want Pond B to take inflow at a rate of 0.5 L/day until the water in Pond B reaches 2 L. At that point, Pond B will stop receiving any inflow and will start emptying at a rate of 0.1 L/day. While Pond B is emptying, Pond A will be online and receive an inflow at a rate of 0.5 L/day until the water in Pond A reaches 2 L. Then, Pond A will stop receiving any inflow and will start emptying at a rate of 0.1 L/day.

I can achieve this in Excel, but I am not sure how to do in goldsim,

  Peter,

  I built this little model that does (I think) what you are looking for but I'm not sure if the outflows are constant or if the outflows are only on when there is no inflow. For now, you will see the outflow only turns on if there is no inflow. You can download the model using this temporary link.

  No problem. When you first mentioned this problem, the model that came to mind was this one: Allocate Drain Pumps – GoldSim Help Center but that involves many pumps that we just allocate based on which is used the least. Different kind of problem but perhaps it could be useful to have a look, just in case.
