This suggests that the entire computer is crashing when you try to open GoldSim. In 20 years and many thousands of installations, we have never seen GoldSim do this (in fact, it is not clear to me how any program could crash Windows 10 - the operating system has lots of safe-guards against this). This suggests a potential problem either with the operating system. Please answer the following questions:

    1. Have you ever successfully activated and run GoldSim on this computer?

    2. What anti-virus program are you using?

    3. Can you open the GoldSim Player?

    Then try the following:

    1. When the computer restarts, go to the Event Viewer for Windows and see if there are any messages that are helpful.

    2. Is Windows and the computer (e.g., drivers) completely up-to-date? If not, update everything

    3. Uninstall and reinstall GoldSim (although this is unlikely to help I think).

    Berlan,

We saw your response in our support system so I will copy it here. Can you please temporarily disable your anti-virus system on your computer, then try again? Please let me know if that makes a difference.

Just so I understand: with your antivirus system working, the computer crashes as soon as you open GoldSim, but if you disable the antivirus system, GoldSim displays the licensing window and crashes when you enter the Activation ID?

    Berlan,

Please go to the forum online to respond. Replying by email is sending your request to the wrong place. Thanks for your patience!

Here is Berlan's response to the above:

I already have the problem solved. what I did was reinstall windows and now it works correctly. Goldsim dont work in all versions of windows, in a first step I reinstalled a version of windows education, the program did not work, I did not even install antivirus, only windows and goldsim, and goldsim never worked. in a second test I installed windows pro and then goldsim, now everything works fine even I have the same antivirus that I used before reinstalling windows. the version I had initially was windows home. That is why I suppose that there are versions of windows that do not support goldsim, it would be good to identify them, so that they can solve these problems or inform users of problems in versions of windows, at least it makes me have problems in home and education , I have not tried other versions like enterprise or mobile.

    Have a Good day

Thanks for your response and I am happy your were finally successful.  However, I do not believe that this was the cause of the problem.  We have several machines that run GoldSim with Windows Home with no problems.  We also have hundreds of student users, and I would guess that many of them use Windows Education, and we have never had a similar report.  So I guess this is still a bit of a mystery.
