Below is a feature request from one of our customers:
I would like to host a GoldSim network license on the cloud (i.e. Amazon Web Services). Does GoldSim support this?

GoldSim uses a trusted-storage-based licensing system that will not work reliably in a cloud environment (which is why we note in our documentation that it is not supported).
From our documentation:
"GoldSim Concurrent Network licenses should NOT be activated in cloud “compute” or IaaS environments because Trusted Storage-based licensing relies on binding the license to the underlying physical hardware. As a result, Trusted Storage-based licenses will not work reliably in a cloud “compute” environment. Eventually, the VM, on which the license is installed, will be moved to different underlying physical hardware by the hypervisor which will break the hardware bindings and cause the license to fail. Activation of a Concurrent Network license in a cloud “compute” or IaaS environment is considered a breach of the license agreement."
