Ability to save a paused simulation

This feature may be useful for models that take longer to run (i.e. nested monte carlo). Specifically, this feature may come handy in the following scenarios:

1. When models are run on laptops that need to be shut down for various reasons (i.e. travel and field work)

2. When there is an expected or un-expected power shutdown in the building.

3. Management of priorities. The user can save the paused simulation and focus on other critical tasks that may require CPU power or rebooting before coming back to the paused simulation.

  Hi Tony,

  Thank you for posting in our Community Forum! If you are running Windows 10, the best option for you that should serve the needs you outlined in #1 and #2 above is to put the computer to sleep. When you wake it back up, the simulation should continue where it left off. For #3, perhaps you could just pause the model while doing other tasks then start it back up again when the other task is finished. Would this work for you?

  Implementing a feature that saves the model while in "Pause Mode" is very complex.
