A user recently asked:

I linked my model to a spreadsheet, and it is running very slowly. Is there any way to speed it up?

  There are a number of situations that could cause GoldSim to run slowly when interacting with a spreadsheet. The most common are listed below:

  1. The Excel file resides on a network drive and the connection to the drive is slow.
  2. You have set ´Recalculate in Excel during simulation´ for the Spreadsheet file when it is not necessary to do so.
  3. The Excel file contains external links to other spreadsheets, macros, add-ins or OLE objects.
  4. You have a limited amount of RAM.
  5. Your Excel file is using HLookup or Vlookip funtions (which run very slowly in Excel).
