We picked 3 of the many updates to highlight here because we like them and hope you will too!
Improved performance of result exports:
Under certain circumstances that involve either many Time History elements linked to Excel or exporting Time History results to many different Excel sheets, you can see significant performance improvement, resulting in much faster overall run time of the model.
Paste text into influence link labels: Did you know that you can add labels to influence link lines? This feature adds text to an influence by right-clicking on the influence and selecting "Add Label" from the context menu, or Shift+double-clicking on the influence (double-clicking on the influence while pressing the Shift key). Below is an example of an influence link label.
With GoldSim 14 R3, you can now copy and paste this text for faster editing of many influences.
In case you might be wondering about when best to use influence labels, we think one of the many useful applications is when you need to label flow streams in a schematic diagram of the system you are modeling. This could be drawn in the GoldSim graphics pane using elements that are linked together. If you would like to see this feature demonstrated, consider viewing the recording of our March 2024 webinar, which used this feature.
Execute GoldSim silently (hidden) from command line This feature hides the GoldSim application from view when executing GoldSim from the command line terminal in Windows. Note that error messages are repressed but written to a log file. Let us know if you would like to see this feature presented in a future webinar.
All updates are described in detail in the GoldSim 14 R3 Release Notes.
