    Peter,

I briefly reviewed the current implementation of AWBM in GoldSim and estimated the amount of work required to get this ready to be used on an hourly scheduled time step. I could make an update to this model for hourly if you think it would be very useful to a wider GoldSim audience. Otherwise, let me know and I'll do my best to point out the main changes I think need to be made. For me, the time consuming part would be result testing. I would hope to use the eWater tools for result comparisons. Problem is, it takes me half a day to remind myself how to do all that.

So far, I have only heard this request come in maybe a handful of times in a decade.

    Hi Jason,
Thank for your response. If you could just only point to the main changes, that would be great.
    Thanks you

No problem. If you implement it, let us know if you want to collaborate on a new example published in our library and announced in LinkedIn! 😀

    • Prec_TS, Evap_TS: Currently set to "Constant over the next interval" so be aware of that when entering new hourly data.
    • Change the reference to "1 d" in the following expressions within elements named: ET_Loss, Time_To_Next, Baseflow_Runoff, Surface_Runoff
    • The expression "Is_Midnight" might need to be changed.
    • I may have missed something so please verify.
    • Test by comparing to output of the eWater tool (or whatever standard you want to use)

did you mean to change the reference to " x hr" in the following expressions within elements named: ET_Loss, Time_To_Next, Baseflow_Runoff, Surface_Runoff?

do i need to change timestep setting in the simulation settings from day to hour?

Hey Peter, sorry for the late reply. I was thinking along the same lines as you but I would want to test it a lot before putting into production so I'm reluctant to say exactly what needs to change without digging in. I am happy to collaborate with you though. If you are interested, please do contact me via support: GoldSim Technical Support - GoldSim just scroll down to the bottom and click subit a request.

But otherwise, yes I think you are on the right track.
