Sampling historic timeseries in monthly chunks

Hello, I'm trying setup a model simulation to sample a month of data at a time from a historic timeseries of environmental data.  The aim is to preserve seasonality in my model by sampling a full (continuous) month of data from a random year in my historic timeseries. As an example my generated 'future' environmental dataset could sample 1 Jan 2001 - 31 Jan 2001, 1 Feb 1983 - 28 Feb 1983, 1 Mar 1995 - 31 Mar 1995, and so on from the historic data. Is there a way I can do this in GoldSIM?

  Tom,

  Thanks for asking about this in our Forum. I created a new article with an example model, demonstrating how this can be done using a 3D lookup table. The model is attached to the article as well. Note that I added the round() function per your earlier suggestion.
