I have a job opportunity in the Dallas, Texas area for an engineer with Goldsim modeling experience. Below is a job description. If you have any interest, my phone number is (469) 242-9257, or you can email me at bmuth@rangerstaffing.com
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
Work with the Systems Engineering Group to develop Design for Reliability (DfR) Plans for
Systems Integration Activities; support the implementation of such plans to drive changes into
Designs. This individual is expected to create predictive reliability models in early part of a design
using historical performance data from similar onmarket instruments and perform Change Point
Analysis to identify CriticaltoReliability (CTR) items based on known differences between the
design and similar onmarket predecessor instruments. Thus a Systems Reliability Engineer is
expected to benchmark performance of onmarket predecessor instruments and use that to
conduct system reliability predictions, allocation and apportionment down to critical subsystems
by working closely with the Data Analysis Group and the Systems Engineering Group.
A Systems Reliability Engineer also develops systems reliability analysis reports, assists with
writing detailed product, system and subsystem level qualification test plans and procedures with
the relevant technical disciplines and compiles test data into reports for management.
The individual is also expected to support Failure Analysis and Root Cause Investigations and
capture lessons learned at the various stages of product evolution and use those to create best
practices to support upgrades of work standards and for training purposes.
This position reports to the Director of Reliability Engineering.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Systems Engineering team and the Data Analysis group to create systems
predictive reliability models through benchmarking and understanding of historical reliability
performance of relevant predecessor systems.
Capture lessons learned and best practices from predecessor products relevant to the current
design to support risk mitigation activities.
Facilitate System and Subsystem level dFMEAs/FMECAs and uses the resulting Risk Mitigation
Plan as the basis for the Reliability Plan to support the design
Assist with PostLaunch Reliability Planning to ensure that Failure Investigations are continued
until assignable rootcauses are determined. Captures all lessons learned and best practices after
a successful resolution of the issues in a manner that benefits future design efforts.
Integrate onmarket reliability performance and operating history data into systems reliability
models to validate models and identify potential performance and reliability improvement for
critical subsystems and components.
Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be added as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical/Electronics Engineering or in Applied Science or Operations Research/Applied
Statistics.
An advanced degree in these areas preferred.
