Looking to use GoldSim to optimize drug dose (Clinical pharmacokinetics)

Hi,

Usually, in literature most of the published papers using Crystal Ball Software to estimate drug optimization using Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS) technique.

I have few a time series based time point and associated drug concentration (0 hours to 24 hours), I estimated this concentration-time profile using pharmacokinetic parameters volume of distribution and elimination rate constant. Putting these pharmacokinetic parameters in formula (drug kinetics based formula), I will generate these concentration-time profiles. Now with each concentration will be generating 10000 replicated using MCS.

Is this possible with GoldSim?

Yes, GoldSim can do anything a spreadsheet-based approach can do. However, that is not really a dynamic simulation. GoldSim can actually simulate the dynamics of the drug. By defining compartments (that represent the various organs), you could actually use the GoldSim Contaminant Transport Module to simulate the transport, update and elimination of a drug in an organism. However, doing so would require you to be very proficient with the software, which could take a month or more.
