Typically, reservoirs are operated based on policies that involve multiple pools that are defined to be used for different purposes. An example of a typical multi-pool reservoir is a reservoir that is divided into surcharge, flood control, conservation, and dead pool zones. Often times, the conservation pool is referred to as the multi-use zone because water needs to be conserved in this pool for multiple and often conflicting uses.
The purpose of this webinar is to present a modeling methodology in GoldSim to represent these reservoir pools for use in real-world projects. Even though the subject matter is specific to water resources, the software features and tips explained will be useful for any GoldSim user.
