February - Introduction to DLLs in GoldSim

Jason -

This webinar was presented by Jason Lillywhite in February 2012. Below is a brief summary and video recording of the presentation. You can also download materials used during the presentation by clicking on the link(s) at the end of the article.

This webinar covered an introduction to DLLs in GoldSim. A dynamic-link library, or DLL, is Microsoft's implementation of the shared library concept in the Microsoft Windows. GoldSim was designed such that you can develop separate program modules (written in C, C++, Pascal, FORTRAN or other compatible programming languages) which can then be directly coupled with the main GoldSim algorithms using a DLL interface in GoldSim.

During this presentation, we walked through the basic steps of writing a C program in Visual Studio Express, compiling it to a DLL, and linking to the DLL in a new GoldSim model.
