This webinar covered an introduction to DLLs in GoldSim. A dynamic-link library, or DLL, is Microsoft's implementation of the shared library concept in the Microsoft Windows. GoldSim was designed such that you can develop separate program modules (written in C, C++, Pascal, FORTRAN or other compatible programming languages) which can then be directly coupled with the main GoldSim algorithms using a DLL interface in GoldSim.
During this presentation, we walked through the basic steps of writing a C program in Visual Studio Express, compiling it to a DLL, and linking to the DLL in a new GoldSim model.
