I have no problems running the latest version of GoldSim with my license. However I cannot run GoldSim 9.60, 9.50 or any older versions of GoldSim. Moreover the error message says that I can use GoldSim versions only up to 7.02.000.
This is the error message you might see when this error occurs:
The licensing program that GoldSim uses was changed at the release of GoldSim Version 10. Therefore, 9.60SP4 and all earlier versions of GoldSim use a different licensing service than one used in the latest version of GoldSim.
As GoldSim’s legacy project, GoldSim has released 9.60SP5 (Service Pack 5) on March 2010 for users who still need to use GoldSim 9.60 concurrently with GoldSim 10 and 10.1. GoldSim 9.60SP5 is almost identical (except a few bug fixes) to 9.60SP4 in its application functions, but the licensing program was updated to be compatible with GoldSim 10, 10.1 and all later versions of GoldSim. (See Newsletter March 2010.)
Therefore if you need to use GoldSim 9.60 as well as the latest version of GoldSim on a same machine, you simply have to upgrade 9.60 to 9.60SP5. You may download 9.60SP5 installer in the download section of GoldSim website.
If you need to use 9.50, 9.21 and other older versions of GoldSim, you have to set up a second license manually on your machine. This will involve modifying registry keys and some system files. Contact GoldSim support for detailed instructions.
